These terms cover your use of Octopus Education (Math, Code, Science and Electronics). “We” and “us” mean Octopus Technology, the seller.
Octopus Education is a subscription to four learning apps. We may improve, change or retire features over time. The lessons and tools are for learning; they are not professional, legal, medical or engineering advice, and electronics projects are built at your own risk. Any health or workout logging is a personal record-keeping tool, not a medical product.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. Our services are for adults only. You need an account, created with an invite code you receive after purchase. Keep your password private and do not share your account; one subscription is for one person. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other users.
Octopus Education costs $11 per month or $89 per year (USD, plus any tax Stripe collects). Payments are processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price for the plan you chose, and the payment method you gave is charged, until you cancel. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Promotions: we may offer promo codes, for example a code that reduces the first payment so a first month costs $5. A promo applies only to the payment(s) described when it is offered; after that, the regular price applies and renews automatically.
We may change prices for future periods. If we do, we will give notice before the change applies to you, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
You can cancel at any time, online, through the Stripe customer portal: use the link in your Stripe receipt or email [[TODO OWNER: contact email]] and we will send one [[TODO OWNER: confirm the Stripe customer portal is enabled and where the link lives]]. No call or reason is needed. When you cancel, you are not charged again, access continues to the end of the period you already paid for, and then stops. Your account data is kept as described in the privacy policy unless you ask us to delete it. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.
Some features use an AI model and may be wrong. Stored lesson content is checked, but mistakes can still happen; check anything important against another source. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
What you type, upload or draw stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, including sending it to the model providers named in the privacy policy when you use a feature that needs them.
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived. [[TODO OWNER: counsel: review the liability cap]]
